ABOUT THE ARTIST

Bianca Lesaca is a Filipino visual artist who began her formative career in commercial illustration working within the editorial, entertainment, and publishing industries. 

She attended the College of Saint Benilde in Manila for her BA in Multimedia Arts. Later, she attended The Savannah College of Art and Design in Hong Kong for further education; graduating with a BFA in Illustration. She is a member of Ilustrador ng Kabataan and has illustrated nine books published both in the Philippines and abroad since 2016. 

In her current artistic phase, Bianca returns to the physical canvas as a space for emotional excavation and uninhibited exploration. Her abstract paintings transcend the boundaries of her training in representational art, allowing her to venture in and out of contained narratives.
